Katie Price and Peter Andre Divorce
In May of 2009 it was announced that Katie Price and Peter Andre would be getting a divorce. OK! Magazine ran two stories on the split and there are below.
First story -
KATIE Price and Peter Andre have split after three-and-a-half years of marriage.
The couple’s representatives confirmed the news today with a statement.
They said: “Peter Andre and Katie Price are separating....They have both requested that the media respect their families’ privacy at this difficult time.”
The pair have two children together, Junior, three and Princess Tiaamii, one. Katie also has another son, Harvey, six, from a former relationship.
Katie and Peter met and fell in love on reality TV series I’m A Celebrity, Get Me Out Of Here! in 2004.
The following year the couple welcomed son Junior into the world before marrying in a stunning ceremony covered exclusively by OK! Magazine.
The fairytale wedding, set in Highclere Castle in Berkshire, saw Katie wow in a pink Isabell Kristensen gown.
In 2007 Katie gave birth to the couple’s only daughter, Princess Tiaamii.
And last year the pair renewed their wedding vows in an emotional South African ceremony.
Second story -
KATIE Price has revealed her split with husband Pete Andre was not her decision.
The OK! columnist said the separation was Pete's call - and that she is "devastated".
Katie added that she will always love her husband of three-and-a-half years.
In a statement, Katie said: “Pete is the love of my life and my life. We have children together and I am devastated and disappointed by his decision to separate and divorce me, as I married him for life.
“This is not what I want and the decision has been taken out of my hands...I will always love my Pete.”
Her spokeswoman said Katie left the country last night with Junior and Princess, her children by Peter.
Her eldest child, Harvey, from a previous relationship, was at home with a nanny.
Katie’s comments followed a brief joint statement announcing the separation yesterday afternoon.
